Family Van de Loo
The family of Vacanze col Cuore is the founder of Glamping in Italy.
It was 1976 when the founder of Vacanze col Cuore, the Dutchman Loek van de Loo, arrived at Lake Garda to work at a campsite. It was love at first sight for Italy, but also love for his wife Chicca, to whom he has been happily married for almost 40 years now. Together with his family he built Weekend Camp Site into what is now Weekend Glamping Resort. From there the dream was born to spread an innovative holiday model in Italy, where the design of the accommodation, the beauty of the common areas and the attention to the customer made the campsite more like a "horizontal hotel" in the open air. The passion for the camping industry has been passed down and shared with the whole family, especially with his sons Leonardo and Alessandro, not only in terms of know-how, but also in its more human and emotional side.Today there are 8 Glampings in the Vacanze col Cuore group, with a Glamping Boutique and Glamping Resort on Lake Garda, Lake Idro, in Tuscany and in Holland. A Dutch-Italian family business which continues to innovate and surprise its guests.
